On 19 November 2025, projects of the EIC Clean and Efficient Cooling Portfolio gathered in Delft (Netherlands) for an in-person meeting hosted at TU Delft. The event brought together research teams, industrial partners, and representatives of the EIC to exchange progress, strengthen collaboration, and discuss strategic topics relevant to the future of clean cooling technologies.
The CoCoMag project was represented by its industrial partner MAGNOTHERM Solutions GmbH, with Maximilian Fries (COO) and Dimitri Benke (CTO) participating in the meeting. During the project update session, MAGNOTHERM presented CoCoMag’s latest progress in the development of novel magnetic materials.
The meeting also featured presentations from several portfolio projects, including HYDROCOOL, CHARCOOL, Coltera-TREC, COOLPOL, DYMAN, MAGCCINE, SMACOOL, LEMON and FROSTBIT, illustrating the breadth of approaches being explored within the portfolio.
The meeting also included a workshop on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), led by Harris Mubeen from kiutra (LEMON). The session reinforced the role of LCA as a key tool for ensuring that technological innovation is aligned with sustainability goals.
The Delft meeting marked an important step in strengthening collaboration across the EIC Cooling Portfolio and further integrating CoCoMag into a growing European ecosystem dedicated to developing clean, efficient, and sustainable cooling solutions.
