MAGNOTHERM Solution GmbH shared insights into magnetocaloric materials and their magnetocaloric cooling units at CHILLVENTA from October 8 to October 10, 2024. “CHILLVENTA – Weltleitmesse der Kältetechnik” is an international trade fair in Nürnberg, bringing together experts in heat pumps, ventilation, air conditioning (AC), and refrigeration.

While most visitors were not familiar with magnetocaloric materials and magnetocaloric science, MAGNOTHERM made the topic accessible and understandable, providing clear explanations of magnetocaloric cooling. As a CoCoMag partner, MAGNOTHERM leveraged this event to introduce the topic to the general public.

Max Fries and Jens-Peter Zwick, representatives of MAGNOTHERM in the CoCoMag project, led discussions with attendees explaining the social and environmental impact of magnetocaloric cooling technology and showcasing a complete magnetocaloric cooling unit, which was demonstrated and discussed with the public.

With MAGNOTHERM’s expertise in shaping magnetocaloric materials based on Fe-La-Si alloys, new materials developed within the CoCoMag project could be transferred into a magnetocaloric cooling unit. Through these efforts, MAGNOTHERM is driving the industrialization and public awareness of magnetocaloric cooling technology.
