On 26 September 2025, the University of Seville, partner of the CoCoMag project, took part in the European Researchers’ Night, the annual event that brings science closer to citizens across Europe.

On 10-11 September 2025, MAGNOTHERM Solutions GmbH, CoCoMag’s industrial partner, took part in the EIT RawMaterials Partner Day 2025 in Brussels, the annual gathering of one of Europe’s largest innovation ecosystems dedicated to raw and advanced materials.

From 24 to 29 August 2025, researchers, innovators, and industry representatives from around the world gathered in Frankfurt, Germany, for the 14th Joint European Magnetic Symposia (JEMS 2025).

From 27 to 31 July 2025, the 28th International Workshop on Rare-Earth and Future Permanent Magnets (REPM 2025) took place in Tsukuba, Japan, bringing together leading scientists, engineers, and industry experts from around the world.

The CoCoMag project is now officially part of the EIC Clean and Efficient Cooling Portfolio, a dynamic network of European projects working together to accelerate innovation in sustainable and energy-efficient cooling technologies. The CoCoMag project received a BOOST grant to actively take part in the portfolio’s joint activities and collaborations.

Zhe and Elisa, CoCoMag team members from the University of Sevilla, presented their work in CoCoMag at the 8th Young Researchers in Magnetism Conference, held in Santander.

MAGNOTHERM Solution GmbH shared insights into magnetocaloric materials and their magnetocaloric cooling units at CHILLVENTA from October 8 to October 10, 2024. “CHILLVENTA - Weltleitmesse der Kältetechnik” is an international trade fair in Nürnberg, bringing together experts in heat pumps, ventilation, air conditioning (AC), and refrigeration.

The University of Seville received some friends from Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, to have a full day of high-quality presentations, scientific discussion and plans for stronger future cooperation. Topics were focused on magnetocaloric, barocaloric and electrocaloric materials, prototype development and new characterization techniques (both experimental and numerical).

The IEEE Magnetic Frontiers Conference 2024 was held on 15-19 Sep 2024, at Darmstadt, Germany and brought together global experts from academia and industry for four days of insightful discussions and presentations on magnetic materials and sustainability.

Calorics 2024 conference was held on 16-18 Sep 2024, at Cambridge, UK. CoCoMag Team member, Dr. Jia Yan Law was invited to give a talk related to magnetocaloric high-entropy alloys. She presented the overview of the material system as well as some preliminary results from University of Seville group.

The highly anticipated EIC Pathfinder Open project CoCoMag project kick-off meeting took place in Darmstadt, marking the beginning of a new era of innovation and collaboration in the field of Multi-property Compositionally Complex Magnets for Advanced Energy Applications.
