Zhe and Elisa, CoCoMag team members from the University of Sevilla, presented their work in CoCoMag at the 8th Young Researchers in Magnetism Conference, held in Santander.

Zhe delivered a talk explaining how Density Functional Theory (DFT) can be used to identify compositions with first-order magnetostructural transitions within a desired temperature range, and applied his findings to MnMX systems.

Elisa also gave a talk explaining how to obtain alloys with a large magnetocaloric effect taking advantage of first-order transitions. She highlighted and explained her work on MnNiSi-based high entropy alloys.
